UPDATE: "The Mathematical Coloring Book: Mathematics of Coloring and the Colorful Life of Its Creators" has been released by Springer on the Election Day Nov 4, 2008 (yes-we-can!):

http://www.springer.com/math/numbers/book/978-0-387-74640-1

Springer liked the manuscript and signed 6 more book contracts with me. Five books are offered for pre-ordering, and two more will take a few years to write...
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
Having spent half a life in Russia, I left in search of political and creative freedom, which I have found in the United States.
I am a professor of mathematics and art and film history, author of some 200 articles and 7 books, all of which will soon appear in Springer.
The book of my life is "Mathematical Coloring Book: Mathematics of Coloring and the Colorful Life of its Creators." It is not about my life, but rather the singular goal of my life. Took 18 years to write these 950 pp. , about math, history (including the Nazi time and de-Nazification of Europe), psychology and aesthetics of invention, philosophy of mathematics foundations, etc. Sent it off to production at Springer today, March 21, 2008.

Hi Alexander! It's a pleasure to connect with you via www.analyticbridge.com, and I look forward to reviewing your publication, Mathematical Coloring Book. Congratulations on finishing such an epic endeavor, and sharing it with others! Please feel free to refer any of your students to me for consideration, or contact me yourself should you be interested in contract-based or permanent roles with Nielsen Analytic Consulting! Katie

Hi Alexander. Nice about the book. I saw some at Barnes & Noble Online. You're a children's author. That must be very rewarding work. As for myself, I can't wait to start working again. The job hunt is horrible. I am open to Analysis, Management and Marketing positions. And well, sorry to bust your bubble, but I am not any type of Indian or Muslim Terrorist. Just 100% American. Born and raised. Have a nice evening. :) Alicia

Hi there. Thanks for extending an invitation for friendship. That's rather kind of you. And from the looks of it, you wrote a book this year. I hope it's doing well. "Congratulations"! Kindest regards, Alicia

It is very unusual combination: mathematics and art and film history.
I am also from former Soviet Union.
