Role: SAS Consultant

 

Responsibilities:

  • Developed SAS programs, built import programs (DATA steps) for large files (i.e., txt, rtf, xls files), and built different types of charts and trend reports using ODS HTML Output System.
  • Maintained existing SAS programs, performed minor modifications
  • Interacted with Business Analyst to understand the requirement, input file structure or Database table structure, picked data from file or table and built the code as per BSA’s requirement document
  • Sent Reports/GRAPH in PDF format to end-users or published in internal website
  • Produced graphs containing information on average time users are on cell phone during weekdays, nights, and weekends, and number of users growing/decreasing per month; compared male vs. female

  • Prepared Patient-data analysis and reports for Drug Sales in United States including information on region wide sales, average age of people who took that drug per region
  • Organized reports based on gender, male vs. female, average number of times people came for refill in a period of three months
  • Applied different formats and techniques for SAS data import, array merge, concatenation, interleaving more than one datasets  because data from different regions were not in same format (i.e. Text format, Excel Sheet)
  • Produced 2-D or 3-D pictorial view of the results using SAS Graph

  • Developed and maintained SAS programs which would run on data available in TA system
  • Developed reports including information on average time to close a Service request, maximum and minimum number of Service requests per product and product group, average cost of maintenance per product per quarter, mean time between failures of different products

Responsibilities:

  • Built and maintained different SAS data gathered through EDI at the end of the data
  • Used EDI interface to produce data in a predefined text format
  • Developed and maintained appropriate DATA section in SAS program and read that data as well as previous day’s historical data and produced different type of Sales trend report
  • Some of the GRAPH was co-relation regression on average sales per shop, mean or average sales of different types of vegetables per quarter, standard deviation from the average
