Provide strategic analytic support to internal and external customers through innovative, routine and customized reporting on all areas of business operations. Apply analytical skills and business judgment to develop and interpret key business / market indicators. Identify, evaluate, and report on trends, issues, and information needed to make decisions on any business dynamic – including: marketing strategy, merchandising strategy, promotions, charge card, etc.
Manage and direct both internal and external teams of analysts to accomplish the above goals.
Be the primary administrator of the marketing database. Both direct and participate in the development and distribution of systems that manage customer information or related content.
- Deliver recommendations and conclusions drawn from analyses of internal and external data sources.
-Establish design format and full-circle methodology for gathering, calculating, distributing, and archiving data.
-Convert abstract statistical and accounting data into simplified, actionable report or presentation formats.
-Create response models and cluster segmentation model.
-Leverage database and provide reports on transaction activity
-Develop standardized customer reporting that can be utilized by entire team .
-Administrate and monitor database activities.
-Train and develop staff.
Education & Experience
-BA or BS in Marketing, Applied Mathematics, or related field of study
-5 years experience in retail, database marketing or related analytical situations
-Understanding of database management, statistical techniques
-Ability to gather, manipulate, report, and communicate information
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Ability to work in primarily self-directed environment
-Have expertise in SAS and other analytic tools – Cognos, Business Objects, etc.
