Hi Amy,
For the last couple of years, I've been doing a lot of searching for any information on problem solving, ideology, critical thinking, storytelling and data interpretation. To add to the difficulty, I'm located in a remote location (East Coast, Canada) where access to this sort of training is almost non-existent.
Statistics Canada delivers a couple of workshops that look promising, but have no feedback on any of them:
Understanding and Interpreting Data (2 Days)
http://www.statcan.gc.ca/cgi-bin/workshop/wst2.cgi?workshop=28
Turning Statistics Into Stories (1 Day)
http://www.statcan.gc.ca/cgi-bin/workshop/wst2.cgi?workshop=2
To date, the best resource I was able to find is the book "Turning Numbers into Knowledge: Mastering the Art of Problem Solving" by Jonathan Koomey, a must read for anybody who does data analysis in my opinion.
If you do come across anything interesting, I'd appreciate if you could keep me in the loop and I'll do the same.
Regards,
Claude
Thank you so much, I really appreciate this!
