Why can't the government play Moneyball with our tax dollars?

Yesterday's  post on ZNet wonders if  BIG DATA can make goverment "cheapter".......MY ANSWER IS:  "Only if effective PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS and DECISIONING SYSTEMS are utilize and then the models put into action!!!"   ACTION is the "biggie" here .......but if you want to look at more of the pros / cons, see:

Because decisions are made by politicians who's number one objective is re-election, not prudent fiscal management. If you have any doubt about this, see Michigan, Detroit...
