HRCP Senior Data Analyst

Location: New York City or Chicago preferred, but will consider other Midwest or East Coast locations as well

Overview: This opportunity is for a Senior Data Analyst to support client teams from HRCP, formerly Henry Rak Consulting Partners, now a wholly owned subsidiary of McKinsey & Company.

Detailed Description: The Senior Data Analyst will assist with managing analytic data processing for HRCP. This individual will primarily work with client teams to provide data production capacity support.

The role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Integrate, clean and transform large datasets along with POS/financials/inventory, etc.
  • Transform and load disaggregate panel/survey data
  • Become expert user of proprietary HRCP software and provide software support to HRCP analysts
  • Delegate work to, manage, mentor, and train virtually-located data management resources
  • Offer expert SPSS best practices and training
  • Create standardized category reviews - share/trend summaries
  • Write scripts with automation

Desired Skills:

  • Autonomous, resourceful, detail-oriented, and comfortable working remotely with virtually-based teams
  • Strong knowledge of IRI, Nielsen syndicated, scanner, and panel data as well as measures
  • Expertise in extracting, transforming, and leveraging syndicated data for client use
  • Skilled in using and interpreting complex consumer panel and/or survey datasets that may not have standard data formats
  • Advanced SPSS data management/manipulation skills (merging, aggregating, restructuring, macros, etc.)
  • Good working knowledge of SAS and PowerPoint is desirable
  • Experience effectively managing virtual data management resources
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities, flexible and patient in a fluid environment, and also works well under pressure


  • Bachelors degree in information systems, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering
  • Masters in computer science of equivalent preferred
  • 6-8 years of experience in sales & marketing analytics
  • Advanced Excel and SPSS syntax required
  • Experience working with consumer packaged goods, retail, or pharma industries
