SPSS USERS ONE DAY CONFERENCE: SPSS COURSES AND TALKS

The SPSS users group (ASSESS) is organising a day of four half-day courses using SPSS together with five user presentations and a users clinic comprising a one-day SPSS users (ASSESS) conference. It will be held on Friday 30th October 2015 at the University of York.

Two courses will form a SPSS syntax day comprising an introductions to using SPSS syntax in the morning followed by an introduction to SPSS macros in the afternoon. Two other courses will run in parallel to the syntax day and will comprise an 'introduction to statistical tests using SPSS' day comprising tests of association in the morning and tests of group differences in the afternoon. A session of five user presentations (on reliability, factor analysis, propensity scoring, bayesian analysis and item subscales) and user clinic will run in parallel with the courses.  day of user presentations comprises a morning session presenting four case studies showing applications in SPSS and an afternoon session featuring a recorded webinar followed by a question and answer session where an expert panel will answer questions raised by delegates regarding SPSS. Delegates may choose to attend a single morning users session or workshop and/or a single afternoon users session or workshop.  Come along to learn more about current and upcoming uses of SPSS including the performing of statistical analyses in fields of applications. Learn when these models should be used, how to implement statistical routines in SPSS using real data,  problems associated with their use and how to interpret and understand output. See software demonstrations, share experiences with other users and plan for future meetings.  Coffee breaks are included. Lunch is also included if attending both a morning AND afternoon event.

PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS: FAILURE TO LAUNCH

How to get data science
off the ground and into orbit.

FREE WEBINAR
Register for a live interactive event.

 Thursday, June 7, 2018

4pm EDT / 1pm PDT

Tuesday, August 14, 2017

4pm EDT / 1pm PDT

WHAT'S COVERED
The vast majority of Big Data enthusiasts and data scientists are excited about the prospects of predictive analytics, but are fully mystified about where to begin or even how to prepare.

Of those who did initiate a predictive modeling initiative, a recent analytic industry survey reports that 51% of analytis projects either never left the ground, did not realize value or the results were not measurable.  This is like creating a perfectly good rocket ...without a mission plan.

Attend this free webinar to learn how to get started with predictive analytics and overcome limitations that cause projects to fall short of their potential.

WHAT'S DELIVERED
The webinar will cover:

  • How and where to get started
  • Why failure to implement is so common, and why pitfalls are so avoidable
  • Case studies that reveal the rewards of proper design and implementation
  • Why establishing an internal predictive modeling practice is within your reach
  • Live participant polls and an interactive guru session with the experts
  • Resources and direction on how to move forward with confidence
  • And more...

Bring your best questions to receive three different perspectives from highly seasoned active senior consultants in the Q&A session.
