Mayo Clinic 2nd Annual Conference on Systems Engineering & Operations Research in Health Care (August 17-18, 2009)

The Mayo Clinic College of Medicine is pleased to announce the opening of registration for its 2nd Annual Conference on Systems Engineering & Operations Research in Health Care, to be held August 17 and 18, 2009, in Rochester, MN. The conference will present both applied and theoretical work on

Models for health care delivery & system design
Models for outpatient and surgical scheduling
Models for workflow and staff management
Models for clinical outcomes management and disease progression

Plenary sessions will focus on strategies for building the analytical infrastructure to support improvement of the health care delivery system, and for teaching essential concepts of systems engineering and operations research to health care providers and managers.

The audience for this conference includes health care providers, health care managers & administrators, systems engineers and operations researchers, and academics in related fields.
