As the VP of information technology I am generally responsible for the design, development and implementation of organizational information systems, software applications, and IT support and infrastructure systems. I typically direct and manage IT plans, schedules, policies and programs for an organization’s data processing, network communications, business operations, computer services and management information systems, according to established goals and objectives.
As a senior staff leader I am accountable for overall organizational performance. I participates in and nurtures broad networks of alliances with others to exchanges knowledge and information about learning and change in support of change initiatives.
In order to further the organization’s mission the position works directly with community leaders, executive directors, major donors/funders, government officials, and senior staff/board members.
Leadership & Change Management:
Actively seeks out opportunities for investment, revenue generation and strategic partnerships.
Acts as a representative and ambassador to the local community and nationally to promote positive relationships and strong partnerships for the benefit of the organization.
Systematically cultivates and maintains long-term, collaborative relationship with key stakeholders and with selected organizations to achieve mutual goals.
Keeps up to date on issues affecting the voluntary sector and develops strategies to address these issues.
