I have just returned from the first ever ICHI (= International Conference on Healthcare Informatics) at which I discovered a "new generation" of healthcare researchers and policymakers, mostly under the age of 35 ... BUT with an UNDERSTANDING and PASSION of what needed to take place to get out of being in about 33rd place in the world in the quality of health care delivery and replacing it with ACCURACY / PATIENT CENTERED EFFECTIVENESS / and EFFICIENT COST EFFECTIVE processes that match what…

Congratulations on your invitation to the Executive Club. I have a copy of your new book, Statistical Analysis & Data Mining Applications and appreciate the complimentary review of Zementis' ADAPA in Chapter 21, From the Desktop to the Clouds, pages 773-779. Presenting "A New Perspective on Data MIning" your book rightly acknowledges that that the new focus of data mining should be on deployment, not model training.
Your membership on the Executive Club will be very valuable to this community.

Pleasure meeting you
personallyvisually. The "book" is about to be released! I'll bet you're relieved...I know Bob is. Good luck to you and I'm sure it'll sell very well. I was semi-retired too...Thought I'd be a little shameless here and make a comment about the product that is flashing over there on the right side of the screen...ADAPA® is the fulfillment, the bridge as it were, necessary to fill the gap between a business' excitement about adopting predictive analytics as its competitive strategy and the prospects of using predictive modeling as part of their business process. What happens more than 50% of the time is the projects never get implemented; their customers and clients do not realize the promised value or the ultimate results are not measurable. There is often technical success, but not business success with predictive modeling.
ADAPA® is the "miracle tool" for data mining making the whole premise of Davenport's Competing on Analytics both realized and sustainable, providing improved operational efficiencies that enhance business intelligence and the residual payback from the investment.
Amazingly, predictive analytics services companies and independent consultants have been pushing ADAPA® lately in their training webinars and consultative presentations. The results have been phenomenal and they like the residual income idea as well.
Get back to me sometime by email reply, or better yet, please see the ADAPA® demo slide presentation at http://www.zementis.com. Good luck with your StatSoft page here.
