Hi Parthasarathy,

It has been some time since we had a conversation. I just though you can be one of those who can suggest me something w.r.t my problem

I am in search for some good techniques (or combination of those) to model rare events (a ratio of 1:500 to 1:1000). Apart from logistic (and versions) and boot strapping, I am looking to:
1. Use a combine of logistic and decision tree (say decision tree segmentation followed by logistic on part of data where good-bad ratio is more balanced).
2. Explore neural net
3. Other procedures in SAS.

You have any suggestions for me ?

This is Manish. Failed to reply back (don't go to this site very often ). As you asked, i am presently with AMEX (Gurgaon), though was earlier with HSBC. I can guess that you are either in Delhi or Banglore (Accenture-- as your profile says)?

Hello I am from India, Kolkata. I am looking forward to get a job of analytics. Will you help me in this regard? What types of knowledge are required for this kind of job? What sort of books should I follow? Currently I am working in a webdevelopment firm as a Quality Control Manager , it allows me ample time to surf the internet.
