I am hoping you can recommend some really strong people for us. We are looking for an amazing Data Analyst for one of the hottest start-ups in Boston.
This Data Analyst is for Bluefin Labs ( www.bluefinlabs.com). Bluefin Labs is a technology company dedicated to helping brands, agencies, and media companies optimize their mass media performance by integrating real time insights mined from social media and other sources of audience response. Grounded in 15 years of cognitive science and machine learning research at the MIT Media Lab, Bluefin Labs was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Cambridge, MA.
The company is based in Cambridge and is tying social response to how marketers spend their media dollars especially as it relates to TV. They are extremely well funded. They are a bunch of MIT & Apple folks and they are building technical products that, as they state: Provide brands, agencies and media companies with precise, real-time audience engagement data by synchronizing social media commentary with television content.
They are one of the smartest bunches of people I have ever met. They are building some products that will change the TV ad space as we know it. Truly revolutionary stuff. There isn't a single person I've met that's seen what they do that isn't very impressed. If you have a chance, take a look at this video of the CEO presenting at TED: http://www.bluefinlabs.com
This is a well-funded start-up, so they are running at a very fast pace. The right person should thrive in that environment. This group is working on cutting edge technology and every member of the technical staff has been hand-picked. This position requires not only a strong analyst, but someone with skills in Ruby and/or Python.
If you know of anyone who would be a good fit, I would appreciate it!
Best,
Andrea
