Steve Notarnicola is a Principal Systems Engineer (Operations Research) at Lockheed Martin’s Center for Innovation located in Suffolk, Virginia. The Center for Innovation is a state of the art research and development facility for collaborative experimentation and analysis in support of Lockheed Martin, its industry partners and customers. Mr. Notarnicola is the Experimentation Lead and is responsible for developing and maintaining data extraction processes and tools in support of the design and execution of modeling and simulation supported experimentation at the Center for Innovation.
Prior to moving to Lockheed Martin, he was a Senior Business Analyst with Doublestar Inc. in Richmond, VA, assisting in the development of Human Resources Data Warehouses. He has also held Engineering and Operations Analysis roles with Capital One Corporation, MCI and with Anchor Hocking Specialty Glass in Monaca, PA
Having served in the United States Navy for more than 8 years as a Surface Warfare Officer, Steve Notarnicola left active duty in August 1993. His military assignments were as Operations Officer in USS Reasoner (FF1063), Head of Nuclear Power Officer Recruiting at Naval Recruit District Atlanta and Electronic Warfare and Combat Information Center Division Officer in USS John F Kennedy (CV-63).
Mr. Notarnicola received his Masters in Business Administration from the Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelors of Science in Management Science and Operations Research from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has a Certificate in Project Management from the Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Notarnicola is the Analytical Rigor in Experimentation Working Group Advisor for the Military Operations Research and President of the local Hyperion-Oracle Users Group.
Steve Notarnicola is married to the former Miss Dorothy Lynne Malcom of State College Pennsylvania. The Notarnicola’s reside in Chesapeake, Virginia with their two boys, Mitch and Jack.
