User Conferences = Busy Summer for Me!

It's going to be a busy summer with a lot of travel.  I've been invited to several user conferences so I'm really excited to get to meet even more SAS users, pick up some great tips for others, and wear myself out chatting.

Wisconsin Illinois SAS Users Summer Conference
Milwaukee, WI
June 27

This SAS user group is having a summer conference [Conference Brochure]  in Milwaukee, WI on June 27th. I have never been to Wisconsin so I'm really excited to spend at least one day there.  Summerfest, the world's largest music festivals opens on the same day!

At this conference I'll be talking about the first steps to creating SAS stored processes and offer 25 tips for using SAS Enterprise Guide.  I just finished the presentations yesterday - I'm really exhausted but the presentations are going to be fun.  For the SAS Enterprise Guide topic I'm using some UFO data and interweaving UFO trivia with the presentation. I need to find tin foil hats for us all to wear - so the aliens cannot read our SAS brain waves.  You totally know we would be asked to analyze alien trends - how to improve time warp speed ... etc.

But it won't just be me ... there will be several other SAS and JMP speakers talking about a variety of great SAS stuff.  Heard there were going to be some book raffles - hmmm ...  This conference is open to SAS user in Wisconsin, Illinois, Northwest Indiana, East Iowa, Southwest Michigan, Southeast Minnesota, or anywhere else (that means you!).

And ... registration is only $50.  That's a deal!
Space is limited - register here - hope to see you there!

SAS Professional Convention
Marlow (London), UK
July  10-12

Ok - never been to the UK either - so I'm really excited about this conference [Details] . The theme this year is High Performance Analytics:  Succeeding in the Era of Big Data. From what I can tell - this looks like the SAS Global Forum of the UK. There are a lot of speakers, activities, and of course ... DEMOs!  I am presenting an encore of the Building Business Intelligence with SAS and Google Analytics.  (Yes - some lucky person will win a copy of the BI Book - and probably the Stored Process book as well.)

There is a lot of awesome content planned for this conference. I'm really looking forward to David McCandless [gotta read his Information is Beautiful blog].  I hope to get an autographed copy of his Visual Miscellaneum book.  However, with so many sessions and so much network - I'm sure I'll need some of my own conference survival tips.

Registration is £125.  Another deal!
You can register here.  Look forward to meeting you!

Western Users of SAS Software Conference 2012
Long Beach (Los Angeles), CA
Sept 5-7

This conference is at summer's end but I love, love, love California so I never miss a chance to go. The paper submissions just closed so there's not a lot of details yet. However, Angela and I will be providing tips for using SAS Enterprise Guide.  We may also present some BI topics - so let Scott Leslie know if that topic interests you.

Here's the WUSS site - stay tuned for more details.  You can also check the 2011 conference - it looked like a lot of fun!

Hope I see you there! By the way - here's a list of all the SAS User's Groups and Waynette Tubb's blog on SAS User Groups.
