I hold a Ph.D. in Physics from Florida State University, with concentration on analytical and computational statistical mechanics and research focus on critical phenomena, metastability, and techniques for non-equilibrium statistical mechanics. I worked for a small consulting firm for eight years on numerous projects, such as developing statistical prediction techniques for the U.S. Coast Guard for improved search and rescue and drug interdiction, and for the U.S. Navy analyzing and evaluating search, tracking, and sonar employment tactics and technologies. I also developed trajectory anomaly detection techniques for pharmaceutical clinical trials and co-developed for DARPA a monolithic multi-function actuator for airfoil performance enhancement. In my current position, I conduct numerous operations research and development projects for undersea and cross-disciplinary warfare, including planning and decision making tools, assessments of new weapons, and design of future systems.
