My name is Daniela Georgieva and I am a graduate student in Applied Statistics at DePaul University in Chicago. I will graduate in June 2009.
My background is not related to data analysis, but I have always been a person of mathematics, equations and logical thinking. I have completed classes in Statistical Theory, SAS programming, Time Series and Forecasting, Regression, Categorical Data Analysis, Multivariate Analysis, Non-parametric statistics, Design of Experiments. I am planning to take the SAS certificate exams in the summer.
My background is related to the web development and programming. I have created many web sites and browser-based applications, worked on promoting and web sites on the search engines and on the Internet. I have a 10 year experience related to different aspects of web programming, design and promotion.
Being at the final stages of completing my master's degree I feel like I have the knowledge and the school experience to be able to proceed with a real-life experience in data analysis or statistical programming. I hope to be able to find an entry level position and use my knowledge and enthusiasm to help the companies I will work for achieve their goals and help myself become a better professional.
